State Bank of India has announced the results and marks for the SBI PO (Probationary Officer) 2018 Preliminary Exam, which held on 1st and 8th of July 2018. All the students can check their results and marks on the official website of SBI. The link to the website is mentioned below.
All the candidates who have successfully qualified this SBI PO 2018 Preliminary Exam, will be eligible for the next phase of the examination, which will be the Mains Examination. The Mains Examination will take place on the 4th of August, 2018, tentatively.

SBI PO Preliminary Examination 2018 Cut Off Marks
The SBI PO Preliminary Examination was held on 1st and 8th of July, 2018. This exam consisted of three sections and a total of 100 marks. The overall cut off marks that have made some of the candidates qualify and some failed to qualify, are given below. The cut-off marks or score has been given as per the different categories, as the cut-off score of different categories is different.

Details for Mains Examination
The mains exam is a combination of a computer-based objective test and a computer-based descriptive test. The objective exam will have a total of 155 questions for 200 marks. There will be four sections in the exam as – General / Economy and Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis and Interpretation, Reasoning and Computer Aptitude. From these sections, General Awareness will contain 40 questions of 40 marks and has been allotted 35 minutes, the English Language will contain 35 questions of 40 marks and the time allotted is 40 minutes, Aptitude will have 35 questions for 60 marks with 45 minutes of time duration and Reasoning and Computers will have 45 questions for 60 marks with 60 minutes of time. The total time for the exam is 3 hours.

The online descriptive test will have only two questions and there are going to an essay and a question of letter writing. Both the questions has to be answered in English only. This computer-based descriptive test is named as Test of English Language. The total marks for this test will be 50 marks only and the time duration is of 30 minutes.
- There will be negative marking in the mains examination as well.
- There is no negative marking in the descriptive test.
- One-fourth of the marks allotted to the question will be deducted as negative marks.
- There will be no sectional cut off.
- The selection of the students for the GD and Interview will take place on merit list basis.
- The number of students for the GD and Interview will be approximately three times the number of vacancies category wise.
## The Mains Examination of SBI PO 2018 is expected to take place on the 4th of August, 2018.
Details on Interview Process
All the candidates who will qualify the Mains Examination will get selected for the interview process. The interview session is conducted to get an idea about the candidate’s knowledge on any of the subjects, that the candidate is good at plus on the general awareness topics. The questions will be asked about these two topics only.
As by now, all of you must be aware with the fact that the interview process is the last step or stage in the selection of the candidate in the SBI bank on the post of Probationary Officer.
The interview process is expected to get conducted in between 24th of September, 2018 to 12th of October, 2018.
Details on the Final Result
The final result of SBI PO 2018 will be a collective score of the candidate that he or she has earned in the Mains examination and in the Interview process. A merit list will get prepared on the basis of collective marks of the candidates, and the candidates who qualify to be in the merit will be given the appointment letter.
The final results of SBI PO 2018 are expected to get declared by the 1st of November, 2018.
