About Prelims Pattern

As you guys must already know that there will be 3 sections in the preliminary examination and you will have a time limit of 20 minutes only for each section. The 3 sections are as follows –

  1. Quantitative Aptitude – 35 questions – 35 marks – 20 minutes
  2. Reasoning Ability – 35 questions – 35 marks – 20 minutes
  3. English Language – 30 questions – 30 marks – 20 minutes

New Changes in Exam Pattern

You all must be aware of the fact till now that SBI has changed its pattern for the SBI Clerk preliminary examination in the following ways –

  1. Preliminary exam will have fixed time duration for each section and it will 20 minutes per section.
  2. There will be no sectional cut – off in the SBI clerk preliminary examination.
  3. There will also be no overall cut – off from this year.

So the task for this year’s examination is not to clear the sectional and the overall cut – off but it is to maintain a really good speed and solve as many questions as you can in the given time.

There might be some students who are not very good with aptitude section or who do not have good speed of calculation, also there will be some who are very good with the calculation and hence with the aptitude section. Now the difference between the numbers of questions attempted by these different kinds of students can be huge.

For example – let’s say that the student who is weak in aptitude answers 15 questions in the allotted time of 20 minutes and on the other hand, the good student answers 25 questions in 20 minutes. So, here the difference is of 10 questions, which leads to 10 marks, which can affect the selection of a student or candidate.

So, here we are providing you with the section wise study plan and that too also from the basics to the old pattern questions and then from there to the new pattern questions and then in the end, leading it towards the mock tests and sample papers.

Now let’s start with the study plan, considering one section at a time.
