Indian Bank PO Prelims 2018 – All Slots

Indian Bank conducted their Probationary Officer’s prelims examination, for the recruitment of PO in Indian Bank, for the year 2018, on the 6th of October 2018, in three different shifts. The competition is going to be really tough for all the candidates, who appeared in this preliminary examination, this time. Many candidates attempted the examination today.

Indian Bank Exam Analysis

As the competition is getting tough day by day, it is highly important to let the candidates understand that what was the overall level of the examination, what kind of questions were there, about new pattern questions (if any), etc. All this is going to help the candidates work properly over their strategy to attempt the different type of questions and different sections in the other similar examinations. This will also help the students with time management.

The Exam Pattern

The examination pattern for the Indian Bank Prelims Examination was similar to the IBPS PO Prelims examination. There were three sections in all, which are made up of a total of 100 questions, with Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability carrying 35 questions each and the English Language section carries 30 questions.

First Slot Exam Analysis

The first slot the Indian Bank PO Prelims was reported to be moderate over the difficulty scale. The difficulty level of the questions asked in this morning shift was either easy or moderate or somewhere in between. The overall analysis of this shift is as mentioned below –

Quantitative Aptitude

This section was of moderate level in the first shift examination. For the candidates who have practiced well can easily attempt around 20 questions in the given 20 minutes. There was two data interpretation in this shift and there was a total of 10 questions from the topic. The data interpretation questions were also of a moderate level of difficulty and were easily doable. The two data interpretations were –

Reasoning Ability

The difficulty level of the questions in the reasoning ability section was of easy to moderate level. Now, since the questions were quite easy, the expected questions that a candidate can easily attempt is also high. A candidate can easily attempt around 25 questions in 20 minutes. There were four sets of puzzles and seating arrangements. The questions were based on –

The English Language section was also somewhere in between east to moderate level of difficulty. There were 10 questions from the Reading Comprehension. Out of these ten questions, four questions were based on vocabulary (antonyms and synonyms). The topic for the reading comprehension was related to company bill. In the fill in the blank questions, the candidates were supposed to fill in the same word in both the blanks asked in one single question. It is advised that you choose questions wisely.
