(b) 5/5 – 3/5 = (5 – 3) / 5 = 2/5

(c) 2/6 + 3/6 = (2+3) / 6 = 5/6

2. Solve :

(a) 1/18 + 1/18

Solution:

1/18 + 1/18 = 2/18 = 1/9

(b) 8/15 + 3/15

Solution:

8/15 + 3/15 = (8+3) / 15 = 11/15

(c) 7/7 – 5/7

Solution:

7/7 – 5/7 = ( 7-5) / 7 = 2/7

Solution:

1/22 + 21/22 = (1+21)/22 = 22/22 = 1

(e) 12/15 – 7/15

Solution:

12/15 – 7/15 = (12-7)/15 = 5/15 = 1/3

(f) 5/8 + 3/8

Solution:

5/8 + 3/8 = (5+3)/8 = 8/8 = 1

(g) 1 – 2/3

Solution:

1 – 2/3 = 3/3 – 2/3 = (3-2) / 3 = 1/3

(h) 1/4 + 0/4

Solution:

1/4 + 0/4 = (1+0)/4 = 1/4

(i) 3 – 12/5

Solution:
