Solution – Temperature , humidity preciperation and wind are the elements of weather .
[4] What instrument is used to measure rainfall ?
Solution – Rain guage is used to measure rainfall .
[5] What is migration ? Give an example of an animal that migrate
Solution – Migration is the movement of animal in search of food warmth and safe place to raise their young Eg Siberian bird
[6] Why there are only a few large animals in the desert ?
Solution – There are only few large animals in the desert because they are not capable of storing sufficent water and with standing the heat .
[7] Why do tropical forest have a great vareties of plants and animals ?
Solution – Tropical forest have a great variety of plants and animals because of charasicteris such as warm weather constant supply of water and the avibility of a wide variety of food .

Solution – Factors that affected climate ;-
There are many factors that affect climate ;-
[1] Latitude ( the distance from the equator) the rays of sunlight fall on the region near the equator directly while they hit the region near the poles in a slanted way this is the region why the region near equator are warmer than the region near the poles .
[2] Altitude (Higher above sea level ) places near the water body do not have a large varation in temperature when compared to places that are far away from a waterbody.
[3] Ocen current ;-
Ocean currents might bring large amount of warm or cold water near a particular section of the shore. warm currents make a place warmer like cool currents make it cool.
[2] How are polar bears and penguins adapted to live in very cold region?
Solution – Many animals have thick fur ,
The dark coloured feathur on the pegiun back absorb heat from sunlight & keep it warm Penguins do not fly but a good swimmer .
[2] polar bear have a large wide paws with which to walk on the snow thy have long sharp curved claws that help them walk on ice . the fur on the bottom of their paws also helps them walk on ice .
[3] Briefly describe some adaption sen in animals that live in desert ?
Solution – Some adaption seen in animals that live in deserts are are as follows
[1] Fennex foxes are nocturnl they have large ears that help them to release body heat.
[2] Camels can survive for a long time without eating or drinking they can store food in the form of fat in their humps the low rate of sweating prevents water loss .
[4] Describe some adaption seen in animals that live in rainforest ?
Solution – [1] monkey use their arm and legs and sometime even their tails to swing from branch .
[2] The red eyed tree frog lives on tree it has sticky pads on its feet that help it to climb tress .
[3] Jagur have spot on their bodies the spot help them camoufldge themselves along the spelcked shadow of the rainforest flore while hunting for their prey .
