(i) What is the probability of drawing a marble with number 2?
(ii) What is the probability of drawing a marble with number 5?
Sol: Probability = No. of favorable outcomes / Total no. of outcomes
(i) Probability of marble with number 2, P (2) = 1/6
(ii) Probability of marble with number 5, P (5) = 1/6
3. A coin is flipped to decide which team starts the game. What is the probability that
your team will start?
Sol: A coin has two faces – Head and Tail. One team will choose Head and the other will choose tail.
Probability = Favorable outcome / Total no. of outcomes
Probability that our team will start = 1 / 2
