  • At Indian International Film Awards (IIFA), Sridevi won Best Actress (posthumously) for MOM.
  • Irrfan Khan was awarded Best Actor for film Hindi Medium.
  • Movie ‘Tumhari Sulu’ was awarded with the Best Film Trophy. ‘Outstanding Achievement by An Actor in Indian Cinema’ award was given to Anupam Kher. The IIFA was held in Bangkok.
  • Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje was conferred with the ‘Chief Minister of the Year’ award.
  • CRPF constable Harvinder Singh has been posthumously honoured with the PM’s police medal. He saved the lives of Vaishno Devi pilgrims in 2016 but was hit by huge rock.
