Maharashtra State Teacher Eligibility Test, is paper-pen based OMR entrance assessment directed by the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations, Pune. Application Fee for Maharashtra TET 2018

  • For General candidates Rs.500/- for one paper and for both papers Rs.800/-
  • For SC/ ST/ CI Candidates Rs.250/- for one paper and for both papers Rs.400/-

Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra TET 2018

  • Age Limit :– Candidate must be of minimum 18 years of age.
  • Educational Qualifications:-      For Paper I : You must have cleared 12th Standard with minimum 60% marks. Or you must have a 2-year Diploma degree in Elementary Education/Special Education or a 4-year degree in B. Ed./B. El.
  • Paper II – You must have a Graduate degree with minimum 60% marks. Or you must have a 4-year B. Ed/B. El. degree or 2-year Diploma degree in Elementary Education or 1-year Special Education degree.

Maharashtra TET Exam Pattern 2018

All questions of MahaTET  will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct.There will be two papers of the TET. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to teach Class I to VIII will have to appear for both.

Maharashtra TET Qualifying Marks 2018

A candidate who scores 60 percent or more in Maha TET 2018 exam will be considered as TET pass.
A candidate  belonging to SC,ST,VJ,NT,OBC, differently abled persons, who scores 55% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass. The state government will award certificates to all TET passed candidates.

Maharashtra TET 2018 Preparation tips

  •  Collect all the study material properly before starting your preparation and study the exam pattern.
  • Candidate should have thorough knowledge of pattern paper, so as to accordingly  start the studies.
  • Set a daily timetable, divide your time equally for every subjects. Give more time on subjects which you find difficult.
  • Revision is most important. See to it that the topics which you have completed studying are being revised.
