CBSE JEE Result 2018
Overview :
After a long wait for over 1.1 million (11 lakh) aspiring students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared JEE Main 2018 result online on its official website on April 30, along with the score card and All India Ranks (AIRs). It must be noted that the JEE Main Result has been declared online for paper I only. The result of JEE Main 2018 for Paper II will be declared separately on May 31.
In order to check the JEE Main Result 2018, the candidates have to enter their roll number and date of birth on the result page. Through JEE Main 2018 result, candidates can check their section-wise marks, All India Rank and category-wise rank and the cutoff score for JEE Advanced 2018. JEE Main result is declared only for those candidates who have appeared in the national level engineering entrance test (JEE Main) for admissions to NITs. IIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main Cut-Off 2018
The cut-off is released along with the result on 30th April for paper 1. JEE Main cut-off depend upon various factors like students appeared in the exam, difficulty level, etc. Cut-off is released category wise. Below we have mentioned the cut-off to appear for the JEE Advanced exam:

Note : The result if JEE main paper 2 is expected to be declared on 31st may 2018. Candidates who have appeared for the paper 2 can check the result online on the official website once it is declared.
How to check JEE Main Result 2018
Here we have listed some simple steps to check the result:
- Open any one of the official websites – jeemain.nic.in or cbseresults.nic.in
- Step 2: Find link for JEE Main Exam, click on it and you will be redirected to results page
- Step 3: Enter your registration number/roll number, name and date of birth. Click on submit
- Step 4: Your result will be displayed on the screen
- Step 5: Download and take a printout of your JEE Main result for future reference.

JEE Main Result 2018 Tie Breaking Criteria
Tie-breaking rules pre-determined by CBSE will be applicable in case two candidates obtain the same score:
Tie Breaking Criteria (Paper 1):
- Higher marks in Mathematics, the candidate will be given better rank.
- Higher marks in Chemistry, the candidate will be given better rank.
- Higher marks in Physics, the candidate will be given better rank.
- By finding the ratio of negative and positive marks. Students who are having higher absolute value will be given a better rank.
- If the tie still persists, same JEE Main rank will be given.
Tie Breaking Criteria (Paper 2):
- Higher marks in the Aptitude test, candidate will be given better rank.
- Higher marks in a drawing, a candidate will be given better rank.
- By finding the ratio of negative and positive marks. Students who are having higher absolute value will be given better rank.
- If the tie still persists, same JEE Main rank will be given.
Note: For seat allotment to state quota seats, respective counselling authorities in each state will publish their own merit list based on JEE Main All India Ranks.

JEE Main Counselling 2018
After the declaration of JEE Main result 2018, the counselling will be carried out in June. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the online counselling for admissions to 31 NITs, 23 IIITs, 20 GFTIs and 23 IITs. In total there will be 7 rounds of counselling. JEE Main counselling will be done on the basis of the JEE Main AIR as well the preference of college and branch filled in by the students. Candidates have to register online, fill up and lock their choices to participate in the JEE Main counselling.
